Very nice place, a lot of friendly people. Beautiful views And just a nice place to pick up a fishing rod and hook a few fish. Or just sit back and watch. The dolphins jumping out of the water.

Driftwood Eatery

Situated steps from the marina in the award-winning Hilton Head Plantation, this charming restaurant features stunning waterside views, indoor and outdoor dining, delicious eats, and a full-service bar. The menu is chock full of fresh favorites that pay homage to sustainable, locally-sourced ingredients. Dig into signature dishes like the shrimp and sausage creole or pan-seared venison, share a flatbread with the table, or order sandwiches and burgers to go–there’s no shortage of great choices here. Driftwood offers dinner service every night, brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, and grab-and-go lunch options made fresh daily.

May River Sandbar

At the first signs of low-tide, hop in your boat and head straight to this sandy oasis for a few fun-filled hours with your crew. Spread out a picnic, play volleyball or beach games, let the kids run and play, or go for a nice swim. This local gathering place for letting loose and soaking up the sun is among the best the Lowcountry has to offer. The atmosphere is recreational and celebratory, so be ready with a cooler full of cold drinks, a football to toss, and plenty of SPF.

Pinckney Island

A nature preserve located directly across from the marina, Pinckney Island and its National Wildlife Refuge provides a stunning natural backdrop for adventures of all kinds, including cycling, hiking, photography, and birdwatching. This untouched sliver of coastal South Carolina is also ideal for saltwater fishing and hosts a one-day deer hunt annually every fall.

Daufuskie Island

Situated between Savannah, GA and Hilton Head Island, Daufuskie Island spans 8 square miles and is the southernmost inhabited sea island of South Carolina. Only accessible by ferry and largely undeveloped, this spot is great for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more. For a little taste of history and culture, stop by the Harbourtown Lighthouse Museum, the Coastal Discovery Museum, or book a tour on the Gullah Heritage Trail. Cottages and rental homes are available if you’re looking for a weekend getaway or overnight stay.

Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks

For a quintessential Hilton Head dining experience, make plans to spend an evening at Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks. Formerly a seafood processing plant, Hudson’s was converted to a restaurant in 1967 and has been serving up the area’s freshest local seafood ever since by way of the only two remaining local fishing fleets on the island. Get your fill of fresh soft shell crab, oysters, shrimp, clams, scallops, flounder, grouper, and more while enjoying stunning waterside views and the spacious outdoor patio.
